To be sure that it's not nurture you will have to poll your 4, 6, and 8 yearolds when they are 6, 8, and 10 years old, to make sure that it isn't simply the amount of nurturing you have given them so far that makes them give these answers. They may all want Bugs at 6, Porsches at 8 and Hondas at 10.

Joking aside, I do agree with you. Stephen Pinker won me over with his "The Blank Slate". Still to be thorough you must ask them again every two years.

I build companies. You fund and buy them. Our friends and families all think that we're rich. We disagree.

This blog post makes suspect that we should both -- and all those other zombies like us -- spend way more time w/ our kids.

Or maybe that's just the need for the aforementioned Prozac in the other post coming through? :)

OK -- back to work.

You must be really having fun with your kids! I really cheared up while reading your blog. Kids can really have no idea about the costs of their wishes..

But when you think about it, maybe it is not so unreasonable from a 4 year old to expect a limo when he turns 16? With the way things are developing, it may be like buying Skoda today. You never know...

Maybe children can see the future better than we us.. :)

I haven't gotten anything done lately. Not much on my mind recently. I just don't have much to say right now. My mind is like an empty room.
